About Us

  • FAFA KHAN

Fafa Khan, a Montreal native with roots in Japan, Pakistan, and Finland, is best known for her successful DJ career. However, before she was behind the turntables, she was a full-time artist, excelling in painting and graphic design. With a history of successful art exhibitions, Fafa is now channeling her creative energy into Hikari Souls, a brand that extends beyond clothing to include future projects like prints, canvases, and AI-designed pieces.

“I’ve dedicated my life to music, design, and the arts. When DJing became my full-time career, people naturally started asking for merchandise. But I didn’t want to just create merch—I wanted to build a brand that could stand alone as a true artistic outlet. I knew I needed the right partner to bring this vision to life, and when I met Andrew 10 years ago, I knew he was the one. His sharp sense of style, design, and retail experience, combined with his love for anime, perfectly aligned with my vision of representing my Japanese heritage. Together, we birthed Hikari, which means ‘light.’ I wanted the brand to have a spiritual essence, spreading light and positive energy to all the souls on earth.”

  • ANDREW RUSSELL

Andrew Russell, also from Montreal with Irish and English heritage, met Fafa in the city's vibrant club scene over a decade ago. Their longstanding partnership has now culminated in the creation of Hikari Souls. Andrew has poured his passion for anime, video games, and fashion into AI design, creating unique pieces for the brand.

“I’ve always had a keen eye for style and fashion, but I never saw it as a career path. My parents were both successful in the corporate world, and I spent years trying to follow in their footsteps, only to realize it wasn’t for me. When I finally left that behind, Fafa encouraged (and yes, pushed) me to pursue my creative talents. My love for video games and fashion evolved into exploring the potential of AI in design. We’ve put our hearts into creating these pieces, and I hope you all enjoy them as much as we enjoyed making them.”
